Export Sales Manager
Are you ready to take ownership of two of Mikkeller’s key European export markets? We’re looking for an Export Sales Manager to develop and grow our off-trade retail business in Belgium and Italy, ensuring strong commercial performance, long-term partnerships, and a consistent Mikkeller presence in the market.
About the role
As Export Sales Manager, you take full ownership of sales performance in Belgium and Italy. This is a commercial role where strategy and execution go hand in hand. You work closely with distributors, key retail partners, and internal teams to drive growth while safeguarding Mikkeller’s brand, quality, and values. You operate from our Copenhagen headquarters and report directly to the Head of Sales, become part of a strong sales team and and collaborate with the rest of Mikkeller HQ.
Your main responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sales strategies for Belgium and Italy, targeting key accounts, distributors, and retail partners.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors and key customers.
- Negotiate and close commercial agreements, ensuring profitability and long-term value.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to optimise performance.
- Analyse market opportunities and represent Mikkeller at trade fairs and industry events.
- Deliver sales forecasts, performance reports, and track KPIs to meet targets.
Who are we looking for?
- Proven experience in export sales, preferably within off-trade retail.
- Solid track record of driving growth in international markets.
- Experience from the beer or food & beverage industry is a strong advantage.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with a structured and data-driven approach.
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with HQ teams.
- Knowledge of the Belgian and Italian markets is a plus, but not a requirement.
- Fluent in English; additional language skills relevant to the markets are a plus.
- Work experience is valued higher than formal education.
