Wholesale Development Manager

The position

At Louis Poulsen, we are looking for a commercially driven and proactive Wholesale Development Manager to support the growth of our wholesale and digital sales channels across markets. This is a key role that combines business development, partner management, and digital commerce, working closely with local sales organizations, key customers, and internal stakeholders.

As Wholesale Development Manager, you will drive commercial initiatives, strengthen strategic partnerships, and support the execution of growth plans across wholesale, e-tail, and marketplace channels. You will hold global responsibility for commercial excellence and continue the development of the wholesale channels (online and offline) to ensure that Louis Poulsen supports the business with new and innovative tools.

The role will referrer directly to the CSO and includes direct management of the Digital Partnerships eCommerce Manager and a student assistant. You will collaborate closely with colleagues across Sales, Marketing, Product Management, and Trade Marketing.

Success in this role requires strong commercial understanding, relationship-building skills, and the ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution. You enjoy working across functions and markets and are motivated by delivering tangible business results through collaboration and continuous improvement.

Your responsibilities:

You will support the growth and development of our global wholesale and e-tail channels, working closely with local sales organizations, key customers, and internal stakeholders. You will help drive commercial initiatives, strengthen partnerships, and ensure consistent execution across markets.

Your key responsibilities include:
  • Manage the development and execution of wholesale and e-tail growth initiatives.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with key wholesale customers, e-tailers, and marketplace partners.
  • No ownership of own accounts.
  • Managing and developing a small team.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve sales performance and market execution.
  • Supporting local sales teams with business planning, customer development, and commercial initiatives.
  • Driving best practices and sharing insights across markets.
  • Monitoring performance and utilizing data to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Ensuring strong brand presentation and execution across partner channels.
  • Collaborating with Marketing, Product Management, and other stakeholders to support product launches and campaigns.
You will play an important role in connecting global priorities with local market execution and supporting the continued growth of our wholesale and e-tail business.

Personal profile

You are a commercially minded professional with experience within wholesale, e-tail, or digital commerce and a passion for driving business growth through strong partnerships and collaboration.

You combine analytical skills with a practical approach and enjoy working across teams, markets, and functions to achieve shared objectives. You are comfortable managing multiple stakeholders and thrive in an international environment.
We imagine that you bring:
  • A relevant degree within Business, Marketing, Commerce, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience within wholesale, e-commerce, business development, key account management, or similar commercial roles.
  • Experience working with wholesale customers, distributors, e-tailers, or marketplace partners.
  • Strong commercial understanding and analytical skills.
  • Experience driving projects and initiatives across functions and stakeholders.
  • A good understanding of digital commerce and retail dynamics.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
