There are many benefits for employers who take onboarding seriously. When you ensure that new employees are warmly welcomed, receive the necessary knowledge and the right framework, and are trained in the prevailing culture, it creates a strong foundation for an effective new employee. Some of the benefits of successful onboarding include more productive and engaged employees who are more likely to stay with the company over time.
But how do you ensure these benefits? And what does successful onboarding look like? At our next Hird community event, Amy Gallagher Dahl will introduce us to concrete actions and initiatives that can ensure successful onboarding..

About Amy

Amy started her professional career in international companies such as RB and Mattel. She has since moved to smaller companies in the startup scene. Here, she has worked as a project manager and for the last 5 years, she has exclusively focused on the People and Culture field. She has worked diligently to build a P&C function from the ground up, with a strong focus on onboarding and the overall employee experience.

Today, Amy is responsible for organizational development at Donkey Republic. Her primary function is to connect HQ with the growing countries, both from an operational and organizational perspective. There is a particular focus on how managers can quickly and effectively tailor the right onboarding, especially in the case of a scale-up with multiple employees to onboard simultaneously.
